Digital BackOffice of Milford Is lead business sponsor of the 2015 CCM Convention and Exposition for 2nd Year

Digital BackOffice (DBO), headquartered in Milford, CT, will be the lead business sponsor of the 2015 Annual Convention and Exposition of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), the statewide association of towns and cities.

The largest municipal event in Connecticut and in New England is set for October 20th at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, with over 1,000 municipal, business and state leaders expected to attend. The 2015 CCM Convention will include nearly 25 cutting-edge workshops and demonstrations on critical local government issues and over 140 business exhibitors from across the nation.

DBO is a business unit of Advanced Corporate Networking, a Milford, CT based business since 1991. As a Diamond sponsor, DBO will host center stage presentations on digital technologies which are critical to transforming local government operations and helping achieving the goals laid out in the 2014 report of the State’s MORE Commission (Municipal Opportunities and Regional Efficiencies).

“The DBO brand is well known to many IT Directors in Connecticut town and city halls, schools and libraries,” said Ron Rich, DBO Managing Partner. “Adoption of high bandwidth infrastructure and IP based media has been uneven across all levels of local and state government. Showcasing technology at the CCM Convention like VOIP, DBO Vis-à-vis and video walls affords DBO the opportunity to reach local stakeholders and prospects for our managed infrastructure services and best-of-breed partners.”

DBO also was the lead sponsor of the 2014 CCM Convention and has provided technical assistance to a wide range of towns and cities applying for grants to connect to the State’s high-speed Nutmeg Network.

“Digital BackOffice is again a high-value lead sponsor for CCM and we are fortunate to have their insights and the cutting-edge approach they bring to reimagining IP enabled municipal services,” said Joe Delong, CCM Executive Director. “We look forward to seeing the latest Nutmeg Network enabled technology from DBO and working with technology industry leaders on critical matters regarding municipal IT infrastructure.”

Mobile access to internal documents, email, enterprise applications, voice and video communications is the norm for 21st century business and consumers. Scaling and maintaining municipal IT infrastructure with limited human resources and budgets is challenging for town and school administrators.

DBO Vertical Infrastructure and Integration Services (Vis-à-vis) provide municipalities and schools with hybrid options (on-site and/or cloud based) along with 24×7 support for data network and communications infrastructure. DBO’s experienced technicians use industry leading tools to manage supported equipment and services from our in-state data and network operations center.

CCM’s 158-member towns and cities comprise over 95 percent of the state’s population. CCM is an inclusionary organization that celebrates the commonalities between, and champions the interests of, urban, suburban and rural communities. CCM represents municipalities before the General Assembly and the state executive branch, and provides member towns and cities with a wide array of other management services that help towns save money and provide services more effectively.
