Digital BackOffice Supports Connecticut Education Technology Leaders Association (CTETL)

The Connecticut Education Technology Leaders Association (CTETL) was created in the fall of 2015 as a Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) State Chapter. Digital BackOffice, a unit of Advanced Corporate Networking (ACN) announced today, its financial sponsorship of CTETL and CTETL certification for Connecticut K-12 education technology leaders. “The DBO management team is pleased to support CTETL and the goal of increasing technology leadership capacity in our K-12 schools,” said Francis Palacio, President of Advanced Corporate Networking.  “Tech industry professionals, Chief Information Officers or Chief Technology Officers occupy executive offices of businesses large and small, hospitals, government and institutions of higher education.  It is time that our K-12 schools recognize technology professionals as strategic stakeholders in 21st century learning environments.”

CTETL is focused on three goals:

  • CTO Skills: Enhance the skills and competencies of CTOs and raise expectations as defined in the Framework of Essential Skills of the K-12 CTO and measured by certification
  • Voice: Advocate for investments in education technology as a means of enhancing learning opportunities and driving economic growth.
  • Best-Practices: Establish and recommend best-practices for effective and efficient technology implementation and systems management.

Digital BackOffice and ACN provide K-12 schools with managed infrastructure for Internet access, Voice over IP, wide area networks, data center services, security and more. ACN is an authorized sales agent for HP computer devices, Microsoft, Palo Alto Network, and Broadview Networks.
